Android, the most popular mobile Operating System has now been around for 10 years. Fans of the OS will surely have fun memories as many versions have been released with many awesome features and modifications all gear at giving users the best mobile experience.
Fans who have been with Android since the onset will remember that it all started with the T-Mobile G1whichwas released back in October 2008. The device was made by HTC and powered by Android – v1.1.

By the end of 2010, Android had overtaken both iOS and the Symbian OS to become the most used OS. And since then, there has been no stopping it. Coming up with different updates with a different name on a regular basis with the most recent major version being Android 9.0 Pie, released in August 2018.
Fast forward to today, Android now control about 88% of the mobile market leaving just 11.9% for Apple to control. The rapid progress of the OS can be attributed to the open nature and the wide availability of low-end to top-tier devices won over many fans’ hearts over the years shaping up Android as we know it.
